Steak Fajita Queso for your next football party!

With the football season coming to a close, it’s time to start thinking about Big Game parties and inevitably, the recipes you will make and bring to yours! In preparation, I’ve teamed up with my football blogger friends in one final collaboration to bring you some brilliant Big Game recipe ideas. It is not a health food. 

But it is delicious, and it will make you feel better about life. 

James and I were talking while I was taking pictures and I know I found my soulmate because he asked me “I don’t understand how anyone ever stops eating queso before it’s all gone.”

Needless to say, this queso dip will disappear quickly at your next party. Or you know, at your next evening in front of the TV watching the last episode of Sherlock. 

It’s perfect to serve up while watching the Playoffs or “The Big Game” (pour one out for the end of football season :()

Ooey, gooey Steak Fajita Queso Dip

Ingredients
  1. 1/2 Pound skirt steak, diced
  2. 1/2 Large onion, diced
  3. 1 Bell Pepper, diced
  4. 2T Butter
  5. 1 (12oz) Package white american cheese slices
  6. 1/4-1/2C milk
  7. 1t Seasoning salt
  8. 1/2t Cumin
  9. 1/4t Onion powder
Instructions
  1. Sprinkle steak with seasoning salt, set aside.
  2. Sautee onions and peppers in 1/2T of butter over low-medium heat until onions are clear and peppers are soft.
  3. Remove onions and peppers, turn up heat to medium-high, melt 1/2T of butter and sautee steak until cooked through.
  4. In a double boiler (or a pan of water with a bowl over it) combine 1/4c milk, cheese, cumin, garlic powder, and 1T butter. Stir until melted. Add more milk if you want it thinner.
  5. Stir in onions, peppers, and steak.
  6. Serve immediately with chips and/or veggies!
